Poem: Island Tectonics

December 11th, 2010 - 8:36 pm ≡ by Lilithbytes ≡ in Lilithbytes, Poems

Sometimes it’s before sunrise, with hours to wait, for the rest of the world to come to its senses.  I wonder why I’m waiting alone in the dark – A curse maybe.  At least I can give this to an owl.

Island Tectonics

I must never wake up,

from the place in which we’re dreaming

Of perfect blossums and fairy tales

a place the heart keeps making

To hold off that tyrant’s hand.

Pouring ourselves into the night

As if to flee the impossible world

Splitting as if to break,

Amidst the shadows I cannot shake.

Love has taken many faces

And maybe my face is taken -

Terror frozen in its place

We are seperated only in dictation,

Told that we must not feel.

When will my icey resolve

Finally melt down and boil?

All of this time spent dying,

All scarring, blunting spurn

The garden’s promises  yield.

Stay alive my princess,

Keep the springtime safe,

I don’t know why they hate us,

And I couldn’t keep you  -

So now the dream is over.

The polar icecaps will melt,

The sun will burn out too.

But nothing in this universe -

Will ever scold, to tell me

Whom I musn’t love.

Hello my name is Gewinnth, I want to share with you one of my poems.  But I have a lack of English, so please forgive for any mistakes with the language.

I hope you like it and enjoy it!

LOVE

When it comes to love

we all

have different kinds

of feelings.

The love from the parents

seems sometimes

as if it´s deeper

then any  ocean.

Even

because of anger,

fears and sadness,

it might

to stop to exist.

Love

has so many

different forms

so that we sometimes

it doesn´t realize

in the way

it is meant to be.

When we fall in love

it´s like

the heaven,

come down on earth.

Sometimes

our love change

and the feelings

we had

change to friendship

or in a worse case

we definitely

go separated ways.

Your love,

might be sometimes

only from one side

but when

both feelings are connected

when they say

the words

the other person wants to hear

it could be a swear

for all eternity.

Those who waiting

for their beloved one

who needs a lot´s of patience

until they meet

their beloved once again

have  sometimes

a long way in front of them

until their dreams

come true.

In the end

no one knows

where LOVE begins

and where she ends

only that it coast

lots of patience

effort

to build

the bridge of love

each day

to each other

that the hope

is there

that at least

it holds

for all eternity.

Still getting work done..

November 24th, 2010 - 1:17 am ≡ by Lilithbytes ≡ in Announcments

The much anticipated opening of Pigwidgeon is still uncertain, I need to find a core group of substantial contributions, to open up the galleries which will be one of the features, easy access to new and exciting works by our talented community.  This shouldn’t be too much of a task, but since I am basically doing everything myself, it might take a little longer than I had hoped.  Time, however, is on my side.

If you think you might want to be a part of the Pigwidgeon project and would like to contribute something, then please send an email to contribute@pigwidgeon.info.

We also need to feature some Authors and Review some books.  The unfortunate story is that I had previously written some reviews and they were deleted when I accidently deleted the site whilst adding the Left Hand Books feature.  So I am starting over, I may put off adding Gaiman and Murakami until later on, down the road, when we can get over losing it.

I think it will be easy enough, maybe I can make it so members can review books on the fly?  Maybe.

Feed your owl!!

Pigwidgeon likes to communicate, as a part of the owl network, he makes a number of stops, particular to Twitter, to Tumblr and to Facebook, he also does an RSS, so he can go wherever you are.

Get the latest links to the latest news on Twitter.

Get some of the behind the scenes insights on Tumblr

And just basically everything on Facebook, news, updates etc..

There is a lot to do on the site, you’ll have to visit to download and read the latest works from your favourite authors.  Keep informed and spread the word through social media.

Pigwidgeon 101 made easy!

November 24th, 2010 - 1:03 am ≡ by Lilithbytes ≡ in Announcments

So what is Pigwidgeon?  It is community of writers and readers who want to share their work or aspire to a greater career in writing.  Pigwidgeon is also a publishing company, except we look for our own writers through the contributions they make here, (on our site).  The site asks for authors to upload their novels, short stories, poetry or articles to galleries where they will be listed for sale by donation, or set price depending on their preference.

The community is based in the spirit of giving, so if you like something you read, make a small donation, it doesn’t have to be much.  It just symbolizes that you support the author and their progress towards a professional career in writing, or a hobby.  It also allows us to find out which authors are the most popular and if we raise enough money, then we will publish them, and hopefully distribute their works to bookstores around the world.

To compliment the writers, there is much to do here, including reading and writing book reviews, read up on the latest works from your favourite authors, work with our team of artists to create visual covers for your works, for e-book format or print format, inquire about publishing costs  or participate in our second hand book exchange.

The money raised through the Pigwidgeon Project goes towards publishing our most successful writers and making their works available to the wider community.

Left Hand Books

November 24th, 2010 - 12:46 am ≡ by Lilithbytes ≡ in Announcments

Pigwidgeon is a pretty fun project to undertake, and it takes a lot of hard work.  Every so often though I feel a great love when a vision comes to life, like the Left Handed Bookstore – as a part of the Pigwidgeon experience, a second hand book exchange is available to Our Writing and Literature Society members, and the general public, but joining Pigwidgeon entitles you to postage refunds and other great value options.

Left Handed Books is a perfect compliment to the community of contributing writers, providing easy access to great books at great value.  It also has ratings and a few bits and pieces here and there which makes it a fantastic part of http://pigwidgeon.info!

You can visit the site directly by going to http://pigwidgeon.info/lhbooks or click on the Second hand books icon in the left sidebar.
